Born in Germany, I learned my mother language and visited a high school until I was 14. Being a language orientated school, I got a first glance at the English and Latin language. Through my parents I then went to Kenya were I visited an English private school. All subjects being taught in English, my vocabulary extended far beyond the daily life's spectrum and I finished school with the highest possible grade for English language examined as a native language. Further, I chose French and German as foreign languages during my stay in Kenya, ending up with remarkable results, realizing their value much later back in Europe. Open for new languages all my life, I learned Swahili simply by speaking to friends and locals to an extend that many locals were flattened. Back in Germany for a training as an administrative and financial executive, I paid many visits to the neighbouring France, deepening my French language knowledge. Working in various fields of company management and later in a bank for 10 years, my German knowledge got it's polish.

Having last worked as a network administrator, web designer and e-commerce consultant for nearly 7 years at a bank, I learnt not only the skills but also the value of websites in relation to a business. It was then, that I opened my company to provide the combination of my computing skills and language knowledge.

In 2004 my passion for travelling and motorbikes made me leave my straight forward life behind and go abroad again. I travelled for 10 months through Europe and New Zealand, spending various months in different countries to get a deeper impression than through a normal holiday.

Travelling to so many countries and living with people of different cultures has also made me aware of how different people think and act, where at first glance, globalisation gives us the impression that we are very similar. But you cannot simply translate everything into another language and apply it to it's speakers. You have to know how people think and act to be able to achieve the wanted result. For this simple reason I work with native speakers and philologists for the translation into various languages. Translation is more than simply converting word by word into another language.
